A bit about Me

I started working as a care assistant in 1999 at a place called Morton Grange in Derbyshire.

With much help and guidance I completed my NVQs and my assessor and verifier awards.
On the strength of my training abilities I won a national competition in 2001 and became The care practitioner of the year.
This opened the door for me to work as the residential home manager which I thoroughly enjoyed. Eventually though I moved into training full time and worked for several colleges and independant training providers throughout the midlands.

I was made redundant at Christmas 2005 and so decided to take the plunge, becoming a freelance NVQ assessor and trainer in early 2006. This was quite successful and I subsequently launched NVQman in the middle of 2007.
